The Watermelon Social Club, founded in 2016 by Sthembiso Mchunu and Siyabonga Ngcamu, is a brand that encompasses the elements of athleisure and street wear to produce a fuse of ‘street-savvy rebellion’.
The prints and unisex silhouettes are influenced by the designers’ love and interest in both the local and global street wear culture. Their goal is to redefine this fashion cult phenomenon, through creating dialogue and designing collections that solidify who they are and strengthens the consistency of their brand – which aims to be timeless and effortless.
