Colleen Eitzen’s story began in Durban in 1996, when she and her partner opened the Durban Designer Emporium.  In 2000, The Space followed. Thirty years later, she remains part of South African fashion, shaped by experience and by the women who wear her clothes. Their lives have taught her about fit, movement, pattern and what clothing needs to do every day. A long-standing name at South African Fashion Week, Colleen continues to move forward without losing what makes her work her own.  In 2026, she enters a new chapter with fresh energy, new ideas and the same understanding of women today. Origin reminds us that every journey to success begins somewhere – and it is through the experience and knowledge gained along the way that we can shape where we are going.
