Dali Ngcebetsha is a fashion designer, creative strategist and fashion lecturer whose practice is defined by transformation. Formerly Senior Creative Strategist at The House of David Tlale, he currently advises international platforms, including Ghana’s Alternative Fashion Fabric Fair and the Cinettica Fashion & Art Film Festival in the US. His South African Fashion Week debut marks his own metamorphosis from strategist to designer, and from interpreter to author. Conceptual yet inherently commercial, Dali’s design language is grounded in brand identity and strategy. Drawing on his experience in trend analysis, visual communication and creative direction, he approaches each garment as a considered object that carries cultural meaning and contemporary relevance.

His debut 15-piece collection, Metamorphosis, explores the sacred Xhosa initiation rite of passage and the profound transition from boyhood to manhood. Prints, collars and trims evolve as the collection progresses from casual to formal wear, reflecting this journey of transformation.

Created in partnership with Navada Clothing, a brand known for producing attire for amaKrwala, the collection connects artistic vision with commercial purpose and the lived experience of those who wear it. Dali steps onto the SAFW stage as a designer in full, intentional transformation, confidently shaping his own distinctive creative voice.
