Fundudzi by Craig Jacobs was founded in 2004 by fashion entrepreneur and communicator Craig Jacobs, with a vision to foreground the richness of African culture, artisanal dexterity and a belief that conscious design is inherent to the African way of life.

Working with natural fibres, existing textiles and considered processes long before sustainability became a global imperative, the brand has developed a distinct design language defined by material intelligence, restraint and quiet prestige. Each garment is approached as a considered object - shaped by craftsmanship, intention and a deep respect for process.

Fundudzi does not operate within the traditional fashion calendar. Rather than seasonal collections, the brand releases considered drops when there is a clear creative impetus. Many pieces are made to order - whether purchased online or in store - allowing for a slower, more deliberate production rhythm. As such, garments may take several weeks to be completed, reinforcing a commitment to care, precision and longevity over immediacy.
