For AW27, Helen Gibbs of Helon Melon presents Always On – always moving, always evolving, always looking towards the next season.  Founded in Cape Town in 1995, Helon Melon has become one of South Africa’s most enduring independent fashion brands, built through persistence, considered craftsmanship and design without limits. Gibbs remains committed to responsible, fully traceable fashion, creating locally with an awareness of every choice and its impact.  From her store at the Watershed at the V&A Waterfront, the brand supplies customers locally and exports beyond South Africa. Her leadership reaches beyond building Helon Melon: she continually considers how her knowledge, energy and experience can strengthen the SAFW ecosystem and the creative fashion design industry.  Last season, Gibbs documented and published the complete journey behind her collection. This season, she explores the expressive power of film and movement. Challenges may reshape the path, but nothing stops her from pursuing each new dream.
