ABOUT

Founded in 2014, and owned by designer Judith Smit, Judith-Atelier is a high-end women’s wear designer label situated between the Ceres Mountains in the Western Cape, near Cape Town, in South Africa. 

As a fashion designer, she found joy and pride in empowering women – her lovely machinists in the studio as well as their clients. Rather than following trends when creating a new collection, she sees trends as a framework and guideline to making the rest her own authentic style. To be the best possible version of herself is her motto in life, which carries through to her design style, construction, and people skills in the business and personal life.

Their latest collection is driven by personal moments in life, memories, and background stories. Judith wants to share the very intimate experience of her background, as a designer with their customers; the best part of which would be their wanting to join in her history, while making it their own.
