Based in Houghton, Johannesburg, ladies wear designer Caileigh Davis received her undergraduate degree in fashion design and an honours degree in fashion theory from LISOF.

Silver Magpie, as a ready-to-wear brand, is committed to slow fashion and is always aiming to incorporate sustainability into every aspect of the process. This collection has a strong focus on sustainable fabric practices and when it comes to fabric waste, as a brand, they try to re-use or re-work those ‘scraps’ left over from previous works. With a love of hand-crafted pieces that stand the test of time and looking at old practices of craftmanship that have been lost to fast fashion, the collection will have elements of hand work – hand printing, embellishing and textural layering.
