Lezanne Viviers is a Johannesburg-based fashion designer and the founder and creative director of VIVIERS.  Born in Cape Town, Viviers’ gender-fluid, AW24 Collection Re-Trace, Re-Memory, Re-Set, Re-Culture serves as a canvas for unravelling the threads that bind our collective origin stories, inviting us to examine the interconnections between art, science, spirituality, and cultural heritage. 

By engaging with the archaeology-like Homo Naledi and myths of Crystal Skulls, the concept of the Phoenix, and the visionary perspectives of thinkers like Oscar Wilde and Credo Mutwa, the Viviers collection contemplates the potential for collective transformation and cultural redefinition.’

Cradled amongst the caverns of ‘The Origins of Humankind,’ Johannesburg, VIVIERS originate and co-create conceptual and conscious clothing that deconstructs systematic stigmas. Blurring the liminal lines between Sophistication, Disobedience, and the Avant-Garde, VIVIERS attempts to link mutually exclusive communities in the name of art.

Lezanne believes that luxury and humanity are synonyms and should be the key-focus to co-create a conscious and circular future in the industry.  Her curation process favours suppliers that stand for Accountability, Traceability, Transparency, and Certification.
